Understand why your free AEO score and your paid Visibility Report score may look different — and why that difference is actually a good thing.
Click Elevate offers two ways to measure your AI visibility: the free AEO Score tool on the homepage, and the paid AEO Visibility Report. They measure the same five categories — Schema Markup, AI-Optimized Content, E-E-A-T Signals, Citation Presence, and Technical Structure — but they use completely different methods to arrive at those scores.
The free tool is designed to give you an instant, consistent benchmark. It runs in under a second and requires no website access. It uses a directional algorithm calibrated against real-world AEO data to show you where most businesses without AEO optimization typically fall.
What it does well: It is fast, always available, and gives a reliable directional reading. If your free score is 35, that is a realistic reflection of where most unoptimized businesses sit — and it creates urgency to act.
What it does not do: It does not fetch your website, read your HTML, check your actual schema markup, or measure your real page speed. It cannot see what is specifically right or wrong about your site.
The paid report uses a real website crawler. When you purchase a report, our system:
Why the scores differ: The paid report almost always produces lower scores than the free tool, because it finds real gaps that the estimate cannot see. A business might score 42 on the free tool and 28 on the paid report — not because the free tool was wrong, but because the crawler found missing schema, thin content, and no citation signals that the estimate had no way to detect.
Use the free tool to get a quick sense of where you stand and whether AEO optimization is worth pursuing. Use the paid report to get a specific, actionable plan with exact fixes, code snippets, and a 90-day roadmap. If you become a managed service client, your paid report score becomes your official baseline — the number we measure all future improvement against.
